This assignment I decided to do one of my favorite films called Smoke Signals. If you like watching some culture movies or just anything that would happen in real life i think Smoke Signals movie would be a great movie to watch. This movie is directed by Chris Eyre and was released on June 26, 1998. The genre of the movie is teen, comedy, drama, indie film and tragedy. The theme of the movie is about forgiveness and the purpose is going out and exploring our relationships with others.
The thesis is that Victors hair symbols and shows that we develop our identities around stories, and the truths that we fine in the stories we hear. What goes on in the movie is domestic violence, being alcoholics around kids and other adults. The actors made the movie feel powerful and what happens in real life, and the music they put in goes with the whole scene. My overall response to this movie is that it’s always a good day to be Indigenous. I found the movie interesting because it’s an Indian based movie and the actors are all Indigenous, so I get them better then all the other movies I’ve seen. Indigenous Movies
